Peffercorn is operated by Peffercorn LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company. Reach us at hello@peffercorn.com.
Your account
- One account per person. Additional accounts may be closed, and every entry attached to them voided.
- You must be old enough to enter — the ages are in the Official rules.
- Keep your sign-in details to yourself. Anything done through your account is treated as done by you.
Your handle
A handle is public. It appears on the bracket, in standings, and beside every game your entries play, which is what makes it the one thing here other people see. It may be up to 20 characters of lowercase letters, numbers and underscores.
We may rename or reclaim a handle. That covers impersonation of a real person or of Peffercorn itself, slurs and harassment, and anything a reasonable reader would take as speaking for us. We would rather ask you to change it than change it for you, and reclaiming a handle does not by itself remove an entry from the tournament.
What you may not do
- Use scripts, bots, scrapers or any automated means against the site — creating accounts, setting lineups, or reading pages in bulk.
- Hold more than one account, or use somebody else’s.
- Interfere with the service, or attempt to reach data, accounts or systems that are not yours.
- Resell or redistribute any part of the service.
The Official rules prohibit some of the same conduct for the purpose of the sweepstakes. This section is broader: it applies to the site whether or not a prize is in play.
Suspension and closure
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and we may do so without notice where the alternative is letting the conduct continue. You can close your own account at any time by writing to us.
Closing an account is not the same as disqualifying an entry, and neither decides the other. Prize eligibility is determined only under the Official rules.
The service is provided as it is
Peffercorn is free, and it is offered without warranty of any kind. We do not promise that the site will be available, uninterrupted or error-free, and we may change or discontinue any part of it. Scoring depends on third-party statistical data that we do not control; the rules describe how corrections to it are handled.
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the service. Nothing here limits any liability that cannot be limited by law.
What belongs to whom
The site, its design, its simulation and its written content belong to us. Real players’ names and statistics are used to report the results of real games and remain the concern of the people and organisations they describe; Peffercorn is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by the National Football League, the NFL Players Association or any club. You keep whatever you write, and give us permission to display your handle where the game requires it.
Changes
We may update these terms. Where a change matters we will say so on the site rather than rely on you noticing. Continuing to use Peffercorn after a change means accepting it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, without regard to its conflict-of-laws provisions, and any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts sitting there.
